Terms of Service
Effective August 25, 2026
The agreement between you and RankHopper: what the service is, what you keep, what we promise and what we do not.
1. The agreement
These terms are a contract between you and [Founder: legal entity name] (“RankHopper”, “we”). By creating an account or using the service you accept them, together with the Privacy Policy. If you use RankHopper for a business, you confirm you can bind that business.
2. What the service is
RankHopper reads the reporting data of your own Amazon seller account, computes diagnostics and a ranked weekly plan, and grades each recommendation against what happened afterwards. It also answers questions about your figures in a chat named Vera.
Nothing changes on Amazon unless you approve it. Recommendations become a manifest that a person on your team approves on the Growth page; only an approved manifest can be executed, and execution is switched off by default on every deployment and turned on per workspace by us. The writes the service can make are limited to Sponsored Products: keyword bids, campaign budgets, pausing or enabling a campaign or keyword, adding negative keywords, and creating a campaign with its ad group, product ads and keywords. It never deletes or archives anything on Amazon, and the chat cannot approve or execute anything.
3. Accounts and teams
You sign in with an email address and a password. Keep the password to yourself; what happens under your sign-in is yours. A workspace has one owner and can have admins, members and viewers:
- Owner: everything, including deleting the workspace.
- Admin: invites and removes members, connects and disconnects the Amazon account, manages reports.
- Member: uploads reports, records decisions and edits actions.
- Viewer: read-only.
An owner or admin who invites someone is responsible for that person’s access to the workspace’s data. Invites go to an email address and can be revoked before they are accepted.
4. Your Amazon authorization
You connect Amazon through Amazon’s own consent screens for the Selling Partner API and the Amazon Ads API. We store the refresh token that authorization produces, encrypted, and nothing else from it. You can disconnect at any time from Settings, which deletes the stored token, and you can also revoke RankHopper in Seller Central and the Ads console. After a disconnect we stop pulling; data already pulled stays in your workspace until it ages out or you ask us to delete it (see the Privacy Policy).
You are responsible for your Amazon account and for complying with Amazon’s policies. RankHopper is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon.com, Inc.
5. Acceptable use
Do not:
- connect an Amazon account you are not authorized to manage;
- share your sign-in, or give a teammate a role they should not have;
- probe, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service, or bypass its rate limits or access controls;
- use the service to break the law or Amazon's terms.
6. Your data
Your Amazon data, the costs and notes you enter, and the decisions you record stay yours. We use them only to run the service for your workspace. We do not sell them, and we do not pool one seller’s data with another’s: every figure shown to you is computed from your own workspace’s rows. The Privacy Policy lists what is stored, who processes it and for how long.
You give us the limited permission we need to store, compute over and display that data to your workspace, and to send the aggregated figures and your questions to our model provider for the analysis features.
7. Analysis and recommendations
Recommendations, grades and chat answers are produced by software, part of it a language model. They rest on the figures we hold, which can be late, partial or wrong, and the model can misread them. Every recommendation says which figures it rests on, and you decide what to approve. Nothing here is financial, legal or tax advice, and a grade of a past call is not a forecast of the next one.
8. Pilot stage
RankHopper is in a pilot. We may change or withdraw features, the service may be unavailable, and there is no uptime commitment. We will tell you about material changes when we can.
9. Fees
The plans on the pricing page are indicative. We do not collect payment today and will not charge you until you have agreed to a plan and a price in writing. When billing starts, these terms will be updated first.
10. Ending this agreement
You can stop at any time: disconnect Amazon, and ask us to delete the workspace. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or close the service with reasonable notice. On closure we delete the workspace’s data as the Privacy Policy describes. Sections 6, 7, 11, 12 and 13 survive.
11. Disclaimers
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it is error-free, that Amazon’s data is complete or current, or that following a recommendation will produce any result.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, RankHopper is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from the service or from a change made on Amazon that you approved. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you have paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; there, they apply as far as permitted.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [Founder: governing-law jurisdiction], and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. The effective date at the top moves when we do, and for material changes we will notify account owners by email. Using the service after a change means you accept it.
